To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag so that it can be better processed in our pellet. With the right proportion of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and strong color and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories and is therefore very beneficial to health.
poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious, but also have other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, promote digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provide the dog with all the essential natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also help keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, algae, etc. has a tradition that goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Each ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. The ingredients are highlighted depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Visigothic Spitz-specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Visigothic Spitz. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Visigothic Spitz belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients were selected that optimally serve the health and well-being of the Visigothic Spitz.
licorice root
Liquorice root is derived from the Greek glyks for "sweet" and rhiza for "root" and is therefore called Glycyrrhiza glabra. The plant originates from Eurasia, North Africa and Western Asia. Since ancient times, liquorice root has been attributed medicinal properties and is often used to prepare herbal teas.
Licorice root is said to have a mucous membrane soothing, anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect. In addition, it can repair the stomach lining and is said to be good for a sensitive gastrointestinal system.
marigold
The marigold (Calendula) is a plant that, like the goldenrod, belongs to the daisy family. The marigold is a cultivated flower that has long been used for its various medicinal properties. The original Calendula species was probably native to Asia and Eastern Europe, but this field marigold is rarely found in the wild. The marigold is also an edible plant for humans and is rich in nutrients.
There is a lot of information about the positive effects of calendula. We can add calendula to dog food because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific ailments related to the skin, mouth, throat, digestion, eyes and feet. It is particularly good for the restoration of the skin and mucous membranes, it has an anti-inflammatory and regenerating effect. It can also prevent cramps during the digestive process.
Marigold is mainly used as an external treatment, for example for abrasions or skin problems. However, due to its regenerative properties, it can also be used internally.
mango
The mango belongs to the genus Mangifera and probably originates from northeast India and southeast Asia. It is a stone fruit with different shapes and grows on a tree that can grow up to 40 meters tall.
This tasty summer treat is packed with important vitamins and minerals. It contains vitamins A, B6, C and E and is rich in potassium, beta-carotene and alpha-carotene. Mangoes also contain plenty of healthy fiber, which helps strengthen the immune system and digestive organs. The natural antioxidant (vitamin C) helps support vital body functions. Vitamin A is rich in beta-carotene, which can help maintain and improve vision.
We add mango to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to supporting the dog's resistance and healthy digestion. In addition, mango can support dogs' eyesight.

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend that you follow the steps below. As a first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to it for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old food. It is important that you let the dog get used to it again for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely on Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After that, you can feed 100% Yourdog. The food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food into the tub separately, but to put it in the tub with the whole bag, which should be closed as tightly as possible.
