Description
Yourdog Tornjak cares about your dog's holistic health and well-being. All Yourdog contains tasty buffalo and chicken meat. We combine this with carefully selected vegetables, fruits and herbs to create the perfect food for your Tornjak.
Why Yourdog Tornjak
Rich in buffalo and poultry Specially made for the Tornjak Contains glucosamine, cranberry and tomato Promotes a healthy, shiny coat Maintains a healthy intestinal flora Free from artificial colors, flavors and fragrances Also suitable for the sensitive TornjakOur ingredients
To make our food, we dry 10.6 kg of meat in a 12 kg bag to make it easier to process into our pellets. With the right proportion of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, making it very beneficial for your health.
poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious, but also have other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, promote digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provide the dog with all the essential natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also help keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, algae, etc. has a tradition that goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Each ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. The ingredients are highlighted depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Tornjak-specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Tornjak. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Tornjak belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients were selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Tornjak.
glucosamine
Glucosamine is a substance produced naturally in the body and found in joints, cartilage, synovial fluid and tendons. Glucosamine stimulates cartilage production and keeps the joints supple.
Glucosamine is one of the most commonly used supplements for dogs with osteoarthritis and/or joint problems. This is not only the case for older or (too) heavy dogs, but increasingly also for younger, very agile dogs. For example, due to an inherited predisposition to joint problems. For these and other reasons, glucosamine is added to our dog food.
cranberry
The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. In the Netherlands, the plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the country. The plant originally comes from North America and is said to have arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.
Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can give a dog's health a powerful boost. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy fluid balance in the body. These berries are also rich in vitamins A, B and C, as well as antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, making the environment in the bladder less attractive to bacteria. The addition of cranberries can also have a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. The healthy fiber in cranberries has a positive effect on digestion and ensures a longer feeling of satiety.
Cranberry is added to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints, including those relating to digestion, skin, joints, bones and nerve functions.
tomato
The tomato belongs to the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, which originally comes from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayas. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.
On Yourdog we use the tomato on a culinary level, here we assume that the tomato is a vegetable.
Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories and high in soluble fiber, which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Not only does it give the tomato its red color, but it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can protect against cancer and help with cardiovascular disease, among other things. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.
The tomato is added to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints relating to digestion, skin, vision and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general cleansing effect on the body.

If you are switching from another brand of food to Yourdog, we recommend the following steps. As a first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to it for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old food. It is important that you let the dog get used to it again for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely on Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After that, you can give 100% Yourdog. The food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food in the tub one by one, but to put it in the tub with the whole bag, closing it as well as possible.
