Description

Yourdog Scottish Terrier cares about your dog's holistic health and wellbeing. All Yourdog contains tasty buffalo and chicken meat. We combine this with carefully selected vegetables, fruits and herbs to create the perfect diet for your Scottish Terrier.

Why Yourdog Scottish Terrier

Rich in buffalo and poultry Specially made for Scottish Terriers Contains chamomile, apple and tomato Promotes a healthy, shiny coat Maintains a healthy intestinal flora Free from artificial colors, flavors and fragrances Also suitable for sensitive Scottish Terriers

Our ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag so that it can be better processed in our dry food. With the right proportion of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and strong color and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories and is therefore very beneficial to health.

poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious, but also have other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, promote digestion.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provide the dog with all the essential natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also help keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, algae, etc. has a tradition that goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Each ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. The ingredients are highlighted depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Scottish Terrier-specific vegetables, herbs and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Scottish Terrier. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Scottish Terrier belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients were selected that optimally serve the health and well-being of the Scottish Terrier.

chamomile

Chamomile is a genus of the daisy family. Chamomile is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name chamomile comes from the Greek and means "ground apple" and refers to its apple scent. Chamomile enjoys an excellent reputation in natural medicine.

We can add chamomile to Yourdog because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints relating to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammation and urinary tract.

Chamomile can have a slightly calming effect on the dog and can therefore be used on dogs that are often stressed. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with nervous digestion. It can have a decongestant and antiseptic effect.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree of the genus Malus, from which the hand apples known especially in the northern hemisphere come. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fiber has a wide range of effects in the digestive tract. It is able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and supple. Dietary fiber also increases the volume in the intestine. This not only stimulates intestinal activity, but also ensures thorough elimination of waste products.

Apples are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy intestinal flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the food and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscles and bones in infancy.

tomato

The tomato belongs to the nightshade family and is descended from the tomato plant, which originally comes from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.

On Yourdog we use the tomato on a culinary level, here we assume that the tomato is a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories and high in soluble fiber, which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Not only does it give the tomato its red color, but it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can protect against cancer and help with cardiovascular disease, among other things. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.

The tomato is added to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints relating to digestion, skin, vision and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general cleansing effect on the body.

advice on switching

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend that you follow the steps below. As a first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to it for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old food. It is important that you let the dog get used to it again for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely on Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After that, you can feed 100% Yourdog. The food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food into the tub individually, but to put it in the whole bag and close it as tightly as possible.
