Our ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag so that it can be better processed in our dry food. With the right proportion of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and strong color and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories and is therefore very beneficial to health.

The tomato belongs to the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, which originally comes from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayas. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.

On Yourdog we use the tomato on a culinary level, here we assume that the tomato is a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories and high in soluble fiber, which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Not only does it give the tomato its red color, but it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. The plum is a tree fruit from the rose family and belongs to the stone fruit category. Plum trees are known for their beautiful blossoms in spring, and the sweet-smelling fruits were eaten as early as Roman times.

Plums contain many healthy nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Plums are rich in vitamins A, B6, B12, C and D, as well as the minerals potassium, magnesium and iron. In addition, plums are low in calories and are known for their laxative effect.

To make the right choice between our varieties of Russian Toy dog ​​food, you can follow the guidelines below. If your Russian Toy is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Russian Toy older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Russian Toy Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Advice on shifting gears

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend that you follow the steps below. As a first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to it for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old food. It is important that you let the dog get used to it again for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely on Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then feed 100% Yourdog. During this time, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food into the tub separately, but to put it in the tub with the whole bag, which should be closed as tightly as possible.
