Why Yourdog Rhodesian Ridgebacks
Rich in buffalo and poultry Specially made for the Rhodesian rabbit Contains cranberry, yucca and nettle Promotes a healthy, shiny coat Maintains a healthy intestinal flora Free from artificial colors, flavors and fragrances Also suitable for the sensitive Rhodesian RidgebackOur ingredients
To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag so that it can be better processed in our dry food. With the right proportion of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and strong color and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories and is therefore very beneficial to health.
poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious, but also have other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, promote digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provide the dog with all the essential natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also help keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, algae, etc. has a tradition that goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Each ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. The ingredients are highlighted depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Rhodesian Ridgeback specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Rhodesian Ridgeback. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Rhodesian Ridgeback belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients were selected that have an optimal effect on the health and well-being of the Rhodesian Ridgeback.
cranberry
The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. In the Netherlands, the plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the country. The plant originally comes from North America and is said to have arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.
Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can give a dog's health a powerful boost. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy fluid balance in the body. These berries are also rich in vitamins A, B and C, as well as antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, making the environment in the bladder less attractive to bacteria. The addition of cranberries can also have a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. The healthy fiber in cranberries has a positive effect on digestion and ensures a longer feeling of satiety.
Cranberry is added to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints, including those relating to digestion, skin, joints, bones and nerve functions.
yucca
This plant grows in the deserts of southwestern America and northern Mexico. The roots of the yucca have been used for centuries by the Indians in these areas as a medicine against rheumatism and arthritis. It inhibits pain and inflammation in the joints.
Yucca can be added to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints related to rheumatism, arthritis, osteoarthritis, intestinal and heart problems. Yucca can also help to reduce the smell of stools and eliminate smelly farts.
nettle
The nettle is a genus of plants, of which the large nettle and the small nettle are found in the Netherlands and Belgium. The nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying properties. According to various sources, the nettle is bactericidal and therefore very suitable for infectious diseases. The leaves are also suitable for diarrhea or other digestive disorders.
Nettle supports liver and kidney function by stimulating the elimination of waste products. It also supports the dog's bladder and hair growth.
The nettle also contains silica or silicon. It is a building material that is part of the connective tissue of bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair and nails. Silicon supports the natural production of skin (cells) and ensures healthy skin.
At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints regarding the dog's coat, skin and bones, as well as the prevention of digestive and/or urinary tract problems.

If you are switching from another brand of food to Yourdog, we recommend the following steps. As a first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to it for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old food. It is important that you let the dog get used to it again for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely on Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After that, you can give 100% Yourdog. The food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food in the tub one by one, but to put it in the tub with the whole bag, closing it as well as possible.
