To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag so that it can be better processed in our kibble. With the right proportion of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and strong color and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, making it very beneficial for health.
poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious, but also have other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, promote digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provide the dog with all the essential natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also help keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, algae, etc. has a tradition that goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Each ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. The ingredients are highlighted depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Bordeaux red dog-specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Bordeaux Dog. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Bordeaux Dog belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients were selected that have an optimal effect on the health and well-being of the Bordeaux Dog.
chamomile
Chamomile is a genus of the daisy family. Chamomile is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name chamomile comes from the Greek and means "ground apple" and refers to its apple scent. Chamomile enjoys an excellent reputation in natural medicine.
We can add chamomile to Yourdog because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints relating to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammation and urinary tract.
Chamomile can have a slightly calming effect on the dog and can therefore be used on dogs that are often stressed. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with nervous digestion. It can have a decongestant and antiseptic effect.
raspberries
The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. The cultivation of raspberries dates back to the Middle Ages and is naturally widespread throughout Europe.
Raspberries contain many substances that can support the health of the dog, such as vitamins such as vitamin C, minerals such as manganese and antioxidants. Raspberries are also low in sugar and calories and rich in good fiber.
Raspberries are added to our dog food for their anti-inflammatory properties and can make a positive contribution to the functioning of the immune system. Raspberries can also help maintain vision and a healthy cardiovascular system.
blueberries
Blueberries belong to the heather family and grow mainly in open forests in the Northern Hemisphere. The plant has long been used in traditional European medicine and is said to have positive effects on gastrointestinal disorders and diabetes.

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend the following steps. As a first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to it for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old food. It is important that you let the dog get used to it again for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely on Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then, at your discretion, switch to 100% Yourdog. During this time, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food into the tub individually, but to put it in the whole bag and close it as tightly as possible.
