Offer your pet 2.5cm of bathing sand in a bathhouse or bowl and let them bathe in it for a maximum of 10 to 20 minutes. Chinchillas enjoy a sand bath daily, hamsters, gerbils and degus about twice a week. Change the sand at least once a week and when it becomes soiled by feces or moisture.
