De Groene Os Evening Primrose Borage Oil Dog/Cat 50 ml is a supplementary feed for dogs and cats and is an oil that contains the polyunsaturated fatty acid GLA. Both evening primrose oil and borage oil are rich in the omega-6 fatty acid linoleic acid. Linoleic acid itself is an essential fatty acid, but is often present in excess in feed. With additional borage oil, the balance between GLA and linoleic acid is more favorable.

Evening primrose borage oil is rich in the polyunsaturated fatty acids GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) and LA (linoleic acid). GLA is important for mucous membranes, skin and hormones, among other things. Linoleic acid is found in various plant oils, but evening primrose borage oil is one of the few oils that also contains a high concentration of GLA.

This supplement may be useful if the animal needs support for healthy skin, normal movement and, in female animals, support for hormone levels.
