Beaphar Timothy Hay 1 kg is a supplementary feed for rodents, a tasty and healthy hay for rabbits and rodents such as guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. Timothy grass has a high content of crude fiber, which is good for teeth and digestion. In addition, it has a favorable calcium-phosphorus ratio. Timothy hay therefore fits into a balanced diet.
Most types of hay are based on alfalfa and contain a lot of calcium. In terms of composition, Timothy hay is best suited for rabbits and rodents. Timothy hay has a high fiber content (32%) and a low calcium content (+/- 0.5%). This favorable calcium-phosphorus ratio prevents bladder problems in guinea pigs and rabbits, among other things.
